The Association of Latin American Insurance Supervisors (ASSAL), the International Association of Pension Fund Supervision Agencies (AIOS) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), are jointly organizing the seminar “Pension System: Challenges and Perspectives. The role of Pension Fund Managers and Insurance Companies,” which will be held on April 17 and 18, 2017, at the Sheraton Hotel, Santiago, Chile.

This seminar will discuss different topics, including: (i) future population aging and mechanisms for mitigating the longevity risk; (ii) the challenges facing the investment of pension funds managed by the fund managers and insurance companies; (iii) the experience regarding the different existing pension modes and the marketing of pensions; (iv) adjustments to the parameters of pension systems; (v) the coverage and operation of disability and survival schemes; and (vi) the regulations governing the solvency of insurance companies and risk management of the pension funds.
