On October 9-10, in the Round Table “Pension reform: Lessons Derived from the Practical Experience with Individual Capitalization Systems ” organized by the ILO and FIAP took place, to discuss potential common interests of both organizations.

Thus, the Roundtable had two main objectives:

• To identify lessons that could be obtained from the practical experience of those countries that have already established individual capitalization systems, and that could serve both to improve the design of their own regulations as well as support reform efforts carried out by other nations that have decided to follow this path.
• To start a dialogue between the ILO International Labor Organization and the FIAP International Federation of AFP Pension Fund Administrators, with respect to pension system reforms.
