On May 15 and 16, 2019, the XVII FIAP International Seminar “Pension Systems in a Changing World” was held, organized jointly by the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP) and the Chilean Association of Pension Fund Administrators, at the W Santiago Hotel, in Santiago, Chile.
On the occasion we counted with the attendance of more than 300 people from different countries, such as Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Ecuador, Spain, United States, El Salvador, Spain, France, Netherlands, Kenya, Luxembourg, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, San Martin, Ukraine and Uruguay. In addition, we had the presence of delegations from multiple international organizations (IMF, World Bank, OECD, and others), as well as regulatory bodies of pension funds, central banks and other entities related to the financial and macroeconomic management of governments. from different countries.
During the seminar, experts from different countries presented their experience and knowledge on different topics of interest for pension systems. The seminar was divided into 5 blocks: (i) Second-generation reforms of the pension systems; (ii) Technology as an ally for improving pensions (iii) Structural changes in the labor market; (iv) Incentives for the development of voluntary savings; and (v) New investments trends.
