FIAP International Seminar 2025 – October 13-14, 2025

The International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP) held its 22nd International Seminar, titled “Pensions: New Challenges, New Strategies,” on October 13 and 14, 2025, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Santiago, Chile.

The seminar focused on the role of individual capitalization systems in delivering better pensions and fostering economic development, reaffirming the essential contribution of pension fund administrators in multiplying the value of contributions received.

Discussions addressed, among other topics, the trends and challenges facing pension systems in aging societies and high-informality labor markets; pension fund investments amid emerging global trends; mechanisms to maximize fund profitability; and the role of technology and artificial intelligence in improving pension outcomes.

As in previous years, the seminar brought together leading international experts who shared their knowledge and experiences on a range of key issues. Participants from across the globe—including FIAP members, government authorities, legislators, officials from international organizations, and representatives of pension fund administrators, mutual funds, and insurance companies—contributed to the exchange of ideas on the future of pensions and social security.
