Overview:
This book examines how households, businesses and governments can address the issue of savings in Latin America and the Caribbean, thinking of the good times when people live healthy and productive lives, companies grow to employ more workers and produce quality goods, and governments provide adequate infrastructure, quality public services, and a worthy retirement free of concerns for its citizens.
The book has 11 chapters, each one of them entrusted to a well-known author, such as Solange Berstein and Mariano Bosch, among others.
On matters specifically related to pensions, the key chapters to review are Chapter 6 (“Time is running out: demographics of savings”), and Chapter 7 (“Saving for the future: pension systems”).
