The study aims to assess the extent to which institutional investors take environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into account in their investment analyses and decisions, analyze the completeness of their information and public reports on these matters, as well as the level of public disclosure of the fundamental principles of their responsible investment strategy. 68 Latin American institutional investors from six countries were invited. 22 of these investors from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, and Peru, actively participated in the evaluation process. Among the investors are Chilean, Colombian, Mexican and Peruvian pension fund managers (AFPs). Some of the conclusions reached:
All of the investors evaluated in the Sustainability Research Category state that they have identified internal resources (e.g., engagement team, investment team, ESG team or staff) as the most important resource for achieving engagement targets in their Organization.
