The third edition of Novaster’s report “Observatory of SRI in Spain, 2015” was launched in Madrid, Spain on December 22, 2017, with the sponsorship of BBVA, Bankia, and Santander, and the collaboration of Spainsif.
The presentation highlighted the progress of the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) market in Spain, mostly due to the integration and provision of specialized professional teams by the Asset Managers, together with the growing number of signatories to the UNPRI (Responsible Investment Principles supported by the United Nations), confirming the significant growth of SRI in Spain.
The study detects growth strategies, such as thematic and impact investments, which, although their figures are of little significance, point to a relevant role in coming years, and sectors with an extensive trajectory, such as insurance, among others, and focuses on describing how responsible investment is applied, in some depth, extending to institutions holding assets, such as Pension Funds, Mutual Safety Associations and Voluntary Social Security Agencies (EPSVs); Pension Managers, Asset and Risk Capital Managers; Insurance Companies, Environmental Analysis, Social and of Corporate Governance Agencies (ASG), and Foundations.
