The 56th Annual Assembly of the Latin American Federation of Banks (FELABAN) was held in Guatemala between November 11 and 16. On this occasion, FIAP participated in the Panel “Challenges and opportunities of the pension situation in Latin America”.

The panelists were Guillermo Arthur, President of the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators, who spoke on the returns of the individual savings systems compared to the PAYGO systems in the region, and Giovanna Prialé, Chair of the Peruvian Association of AFPs, who spoke on the characteristics, benefits, challenges and opportunities of the Peruvian pension system.

Felaban convened all the leading Latin American financial agencies to this meeting, with the aim of contributing to the development of commercial and technology initiatives for this sector.
