The seminar “Pension System: Challenges and Perspectives,” organized by the International Association of Pension Fund Supervision Agencies (AIOS) and the Association of Latin American Insurance Supervisors (ASSAL), with the support of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), was successfully held in Santiago, on April 17-18.

The President of FIAP, Guillermo Arthur, participated in Session No. 8 “Challenges and perspectives of the pension systems, and the role of the insurance companies and Pension Fund Managers.” The seminar was attended by important authorities of different countries and international organizations.

There were interesting presentations on the different topics discussed at the seminar: Competition, regulation and supervision of the benefits of the pension system (Session 1); Investments of the pension funds managed by insurers and fund managers (Session 2); Population aging and longevity (Session 3); Adjustments to the parameters of the pension systems (Session 4); Disability and Survival Insurance (Session 5); Regulation of the solvency of insurance companies and the risk management of the pension funds (Session 6); Market Behavior (Session 7), in addition to the aforementioned Session 8.
