Senior talent—a term used in professional jargon to identify workers of advanced age—refers to people who, in many cases, remain excited and committed to their work, even though they find themselves in professional blind alleys or participating in the crises that the companies that employ them must overcome from time to time. In fact, due to their life experience and professional background, they add value to the management of these difficult situations, as they can demonstrate the ability to lead teams, strategic vision and a high capacity for effort, among other attributes typical of these generations.
For this reason, there is an increasing awareness of the need to adapt to the recent sociodemographic reality through the implementation of different systems and processes that make it possible to create a business culture based on generational diversity and new work formulas.
The Instituto Santalucía, therefore, invites society to think deeply about these issues, proposing a decalogue that serves as a guide to take advantage of senior talent. This decalogue is made up of thematic reflections on ten aspects of senior talent that have caught our attention in recent years and from which it is intended to provide some recommendations.
You can download the decalogue here (only Spanish version)
