The Superintendency of Pensions, together with the Undersecretariat for Social Security, the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance, the Association of Insurers and the Association of Pension Fund Administrators, organized the Seminar “Longevity Risks and in Life Annuities and Programmed Withdrawals”, with the participation of prominent foreign academics, David Blake and Moshe Milevsky.
The activity was attended by the Undersecretary for Social Security, Augusto Iglesias, the Superintendent of Securities and Insurance, Fernando Coloma, Guillermo Arthur, President of the Association of AFPs and the International Federation of Pension Funds Administrators (FIAP), Jorge Claude, Executive Vice President of the Insurance Association of Chile, Joaquin Vial, Counselor of the Central Bank, researchers and representatives of various institutions.
The seminar was divided into two panels. The first of them was referred to the topic of longevity and Life Annuities in the world, and the keynote speaker was David Blake, professor at City University, London, UK. Moreover, Professor Moshe Milevsky of the York University, Canada, referred to the Programmed Withdrawals.
