In the seminar to be transmitted in on-demand format on the FIAP seminar website, topics such as “The direction of pension reforms in Latin America and the current outlook in pension systems worldwide” will be presented.
The presentations, which will be broadcast on demand by the FIAP seminar website from 10:00 am Chilean time, will analyze the reforms to the Latin America and European pension systems and their contribution to the fulfillment of the main objective of these systems: to grant adequate pensions to workers.
“This seminar is being held in a very crucial context. There is evident distrust of pension systems all over the world, so we consider this occasion very important to inform and exchange comparisons with the different participating countries,” said FIAP’s President, Guillermo Arthur, referring to the 18th International Seminar organized by the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP) and the Association of Collective Investment Institutions and Pension Funds (INVERCO), entitled “Ensuring compliance with the purpose of pension systems” which will be held on Thursday, October 28 in Madrid, Spain.
The event will also be attended by the outstanding international speaker and professor, Moshe Milevski. “What if the interest rate is very low and if mortality and longevity worsen? And if we also withdraw the funds we were saving, what happens to the system? That is what I will discuss and analyze in detail during the FIAP seminar,” he explained.
